Before the turn of our global economic turmoil, we continued to face environmental problems that has been left fully unanswered. Our world's water scarcity in many countries has continued to remain an unanswerable issue and has persisted to remind the rest of the privileged world that we are spending way too much water, exceeding necessity, and has even reminded us that we have forgotten that many are suffering for our careless usage just miles away in our own backyard and beyond.

Chinese Migrant Workers Lose Jobs

Twenty million Chinese migrant workers have joined the many around the globe who have lost their jobs due to our economic turmoil. The number of Chinese migrant workers lost is said to be three times greater than what had been suggested initially.  According to a recent survery study, that was carried out in more than 10 provinces, close to 15% of the total migrant labor pool is currently unemployed.

Healing Between the tribes

Every Saturday, in a very hot valley of central Kenya, dozens of villagers come together to sit under the trees and reconcile through prayers, conversations and singing in the hops to heal themselves after violent post-election clashes between tribes that took place during an intense presidential election. More than 1,000 Kenyans died in the violence.

At the gatherings, more than half a dozen tribes are represented and accounted for, helping to re-bridge gaps with traumatized victims. During most of the tribal gatherings, some group members continue to separate themselves from members of other tribes. Nonetheless, the harmonious atmosphere from the singing and prayers have helped with friendly integration.

Australian Race Movie Stirs up Violence

One of Australia's latest films, which is set during the race riots that took place in Australia four years ago, has been removed from cinema theaters in Sydney after incidents of fights broke out during screenings. The film, The Combination, focuses on the tensions between gangs of Australian Lebanese and white youths in the western suburbs of Sydney in 2005--and many seemingly still feel the heated rage that took place just, relatively, a short time ago.

Apology from Hollywood Demanded by Irianian Officals

In Tehran, Hollywood delegates consisting of actors and studio producers, from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, arrive to partake a series of workshops and meetings in hopes to retain friendly relations in light of the Iranian government’s claim of how badly Hollywood portrays the country in numerous big screen films.
