Sun Yung Shin

Sun Yung Shin is the winner of the 2008 Asian American Literary Award for poetry and a 2007 Bush Foundation Arts Fellow for poetry.  She is the author of Skirt Full of Black (a collection of poems, 2007); co-editor of Outsiders Within: Writing on Transracial Adoption (an anthology of essays, 2006); and author of Cooper's Lesson (a bilingual children's book, 2004). Sun Yung regularly presents her work at academic and professional conferences and reads/lectures at universities and colleges around the country. She has received grants from the Minnesota State Arts Board and the Jerome Foundation; her poems, stories, and essays have been anthologized widely.
