Dr. Kirsten Renn is a professor at Michigan State University. She teaches classes on diversity, student development, equality, and higher education foundations. Before teaching at MSU she taught at Southern Illinois University as an assistant professor of higher education and qualitative research. Renn has several areas of expertise which include student affairs in higher education, diverse learners and multicultural issues in higher education. She also has many research interests including mixed raced college students, ethnicity data policy and issues that deal with homosexuals, bisexual and transgender. Dr. Renn received her PhD at Boston University.
