About MMW

Society in the United States today, as in many other corners of the world, is notable for its multiracial, multicultural nature. Individuals from diverse backgrounds come together and create families and communities that are a blend of racial and ethnic backgrounds, religious traditions and cultural practices. The process is not always easy, nor does it always go smoothly, yet it somehow works in the long run.

The folks at M&M Weekly value the diverse qualities that contribute to the unique identity of every person in our global community, and we believe it’s important to acknowledge their special achievements and particular challenges. We find that many of their stories have a hard time getting out there, in the public eye. And so, with that understanding, we have dedicated ourselves to putting those stories front and center.

Our writers bring their own special touch and understanding to the news and information they offer up.

Takeru Maeda spends his days in the city, working as a video editor and assistant to the producer for an independent film company. For fun and relaxation, the former third baseman pitches in to help with . . . film projects.

Colleen Morrison is a country-dwelling professional writer and recovering academic. For inspiration, she walks out in the desert and surfs the web.
