I think that part of the reason there is more of a highlight on the african american dispora is due to the fact that people in general like to think, deal &amp; assess a situation in numbers. It's not that the other mishappenings in history were any less important it's just that the casualties were far less than that of african american's. If I am correct 30 million african american's died in slavery either crossing the atlantic or when they got here. When we think about the holocaust that 7 million figure always enters our head and I think this sort of analysis trend is the style of most historians today. - Morris</description>
